Grantham University is proud to be among a select group of universities participating in the Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE). The program enables U.S. Sailors to further their education while on sea duty, using U.S. Navy-approved distance learning funding.
About the Course
Through NCPACE, Grantham degree-seeking Navy students can complete MGT 150 Principles of Business Management, a three-credit-hour course that introduces the concepts and techniques managers use in today’s global business environment. The course is required for many different Grantham business degrees, but also fulfills the Behavioral and Social Science elective for all Grantham programs.
How it Works
In lieu of completing the course online, Sailors will be provided two thumb drives to access the MGT 150 course material and upload their assignments. They will have the duration of their deployment to complete MGT 150 before returning the thumb drives to Grantham University for grading. Note: Each Sailor should contact his/her student advisor for information on the requirements and process for obtaining a proctor.
Why Choose Grantham?
Convenient, flexible and affordable, Grantham University serves a diverse student population comprised of approximately 50 percent military-affiliated students. Founded by a WWII veteran in 1951 and accredited since 1961, the school has a long and celebrated history of educating America’s military service members, veterans and their families.
Grantham offers the military community reduced tuition rates, a textbook and software grant, scholarship opportunities and comprehensive support and guidance from admission to graduation. The Veteran Support Team and GU’s dedicated Career Services staff are two more great reasons for Sailors to continue their education with the University once back on dry land.
